This event is in the past.
Join us on Friday 18 August and meet out guest speaker and newest member, Gerard de Silva.
TOPIC: Why landscape design?
A brief run-down of landscape design, its recent history and how it can benefit a property owner.
Gerard’s original discipline was in Economics and Law. For around five years, he worked for the Commonwealth government as a research assistant. For a long time, he has been interested in landscape painting, bonsai and gardening. These interests later gave rise to an interest in landscape design. In 2001, he relocated to Brisbane and shortly after, enrolled in landscape architecture at QUT. Upon graduation, he has worked in landscape architecture firms, local government and privately. He enjoys designing a variety of clients and derives great satisfaction from observing the end results of his designs.
RSVP for the Breakfast required by 17 August.
Cost: $20.00 for a hot breakfast and a “barista” coffee/tee.
(Pay at the counter on arrival.)
BOTS: What makes us different?
There are quite a few business networking groups out there. What makes us different? Well, we’re independent - there’s no one at the end of the line taking fees for your attendance. We do have a few simple rules, but we don’t mind breaking them occasionally. We’re dynamic and flexible and we find that this helps grow a strong cooperative environment in which to pass business referrals.
A business network is a type of business social network whose reason for existing is business networking activity. There are several prominent business networking organizations that create models of business networking activity that, when followed, allow the business person to build new business relationships and generate business opportunities at the same time.
