Join us on Friday 27 April, meet our members, and hear Frank Muller talk about the work he is doing in Cambodia to improve access to clean water.
TOPIC: Cambodia Build / Help / Share
Cambodia is essentially the water basin of South East Asia. Water flows from as far as China, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar along the Mekong River. In the wet season, the plains of Cambodia turn into lakes and rice fields takeover. However, water is not the problem - the problem is that much of this water is not fit for consumption. People need to buy bottled water which is an extra expense in the daily budget and creates a large environmental problem with the amount waste water bottles in need of disposal.
We want to continue, after successfully fundraising for a first bio-sand filter, to raise funds for two more units, which will be installed at two local primary schools.
This will provide clean drinking water all students at the schools. Re-usable water bottles will also be supplied to students to begin eliminating waste. Your donation will improve the lives of many children and students in Cambodia. The project is relatively simple and inexpensive but will the result will be massive and ongoing for the health of the community.
Frank Muller has been involved in International Shipping for over 30 years including many years as representative of large European companies in South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore and for the past 17 years Australia.
